How it works.
Six steps from the free report to monitored tools. Each step stands on its own, so you can stop after any of them.
The six steps
Step 1: Request
You send your store address and an email. No login, nothing to install.
Free
Step 2: Scan
We check what agents can see and do on your public pages. The report arrives within one business day.
Free
Step 3: Audit
A written plan: the five tools worth building, catalog and policy fixes, and a 30-day plan.
$490 · optional
Step 4: Build
We build the missing tools and test them in ChatGPT's desktop browser and in Chrome.
From $2,500
Step 5: Hand over
The tools go live on your store, with notes for your team.
Included
Step 6: Monitor
We re-check after every change to the standard and send a monthly report.
$390/month · optional
WHAT THE SCAN CHECKS
The report follows this order. It reads your store's public pages the way a shopper's browser does, and never needs your Shopify login.
| Line | Check | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | Tools agents can see | Whether WebMCP is present, which tools your pages register, what inputs they take, and which are marked read-only. |
| 02 | Outdated code | Calls to APIs removed from the standard in 2026, such as navigator.modelContext, that will stop working. |
| 03 | ChatGPT compatibility | Whether tools are registered in JavaScript on the main page, the only kind ChatGPT's desktop browser reads. |
| 04 | Timing | Tools that appear after the roughly three seconds agents spend reading a page. |
| 05 | Shopify defaults | The 10 default tools, a sample of what search_catalog and get_product return, and whether anything answers “Where's my order?”. |
| 06 | Things in the way | Popups covering the page, and forms that could become tools. |
| 07 | Three tools to add | Suggested tools for your store, with code ready to paste. |
WHAT WE BUILD
Small, specific tools that call your own systems. Four examples:
| Tool | What it does | For |
|---|---|---|
| track_order | Answers “Where's my order?” with the carrier, the latest scan and the expected delivery date, only for the signed-in shopper who placed the order. | Shopify stores |
| start_return | Checks an order against your return window and rules, then starts the return in the returns process you already use. | Shopify stores |
| check_availability | Reads open appointment slots so an agent can offer times instead of sending the visitor to a phone number. | Clinics and services |
| request_quote | Collects what you need for a quote and sends it to your inbox, after the agent confirms the details with the visitor. | Any business |
HOW WE TEST AND MONITOR
The standard is still a draft, and it has already changed in ways that broke existing code three times in 2026.
Before handover
- Every tool is registered in JavaScript on the main page, the only kind ChatGPT's desktop browser reads.
- We call each tool in ChatGPT's desktop browser with a supported model, and in Chrome with the WebMCP testing flag and Model Context Tool Inspector.
- We time registration so tools exist well inside the roughly three seconds agents spend reading a page.
- We test the failure paths: missing inputs, signed-out shoppers, unknown order numbers, slow networks.
- Actions that change something are marked for confirmation, so the agent asks the shopper first.
Monitoring · $390/month
- Re-checks every tool after each change to the WebMCP standard or to Chrome and ChatGPT.
- Alerts you when a tool stops registering, times out or returns errors.
- A monthly report of what agents see on your store.
- Tool tuning: clearer descriptions, tighter inputs, new tools as shoppers' questions change.
